History of the dive centre „Dive-Tribe“

Our dive-center has a long tradition in Mauritius. It was one of the first privat dive school,
long before the most of hotel schools are opened. The school was known under the
name “Angelo´s Dive-Centre”.

For health reason the owner sells half of the Dive centre to Mr. Finlay Silvie in
September 2005. Mr. Finlay was at this time PADI Instructor and chief of a hotel
dive-center. It was his dream of his lifetime and a start to make her own business.

After two years Mr. Finlay bought the second half too and rename to school
to “Dive-Tribe”. The dive-center relocated in bigger rooms 100m off the old one.

In 2008 the school get a contract with mares and the whole equipment was renewed.
2010 the equipment was enlagared again with new aqualung cylinders and new wetsuits.

Also in these years the boat gets a complete reconditioning. The one-engine
Volvo – Penta was changed to twin-engine Mercury with 230 PS. (nearly double than before).
In case of this change it is possible now to go to dive sites far away and visit the
small island in the north in a short time. The space is very comfortable for 20 people.

The dive centre is meanwhile the basis of three families.
